INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Columbus East Olympians fell a run short in their quest to bring home the IHSAA Class 4A State Baseball Championship Monday night at Victory Field in Indianapolis. Hamilton Southeastern High School (Fishers) outlasted East by the score of 3-2. Southeastern scored an unearned run in the 7th inning to break the tie and secure the one-run win.
Because of weather delays, the game did not start until almost 10 p.m., and ended very early Tuesday morning.
After a great run through the tournament, the Olympians will have to settle for second best in the state.
