
COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) board met Thursday and officially introduced its new education coordinator, Jessica Norcross, who has been on the job for a month. She is a graduate of Purdue University, having earned a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and environmental sciences. Norcross lives in Franklin and previously worked at kidscommons in Columbus.
In other business, the board was apprised that Kevin Wynne will be stepping down as chair and member of the Citizens Advisory Committee. Presently, the sole nominee to replace him as a committee member is Matt Day.
At its next meeting, the SWMD board will vote on a replacement from the slate of nominees it has received at the time. Vice-chair Dennis Tibbetts will move into the acting chair position.
