SEYMOUR, Ind. – Schneck Medical Center has announced that its Nurse Residency Program graduated nine students this past July. Megan Bailey, Branson Ping, Shelby Wasson, Erin Rudolph, Elizabeth Watson, Kayla Hardwick, Morgan Burkholder, Jaimie Baldwin, and Natalie Ault-Wheeler all completed their studies last month.
Schneck’s Nurse Residency Program is one year in duration with monthly meetings and is designed to support the new graduate nurse’s transition from advanced beginner to competent professional. The program does not take the place of a hospital or unit orientation but instead focuses on leadership, quality outcomes, and the professional role of the nurse.
