HOPE, Ind. – The town of Hope is once again presenting its annual Groundhog Day event this Saturday, February 2, starting at 8:30 a.m., on the Hope town square. Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators will ask “Grubby” the groundhog to step out and predict how many more weeks of winter there will be for Bartholomew County.
Susan Thayer Fye, executive director of Main Street of Hope, says, “This is a huge annual event for our surprising little town and we welcome everyone to come see what the winter has in store.”
After Grubby is finished forecasting, hot drinks and light refreshments will be served at Willow Leaves Restaurant. The Hope Volunteer Fire Department will also be hosting a pancake breakfast at the fire station on Aiken Street.
