NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) responded to Jennings County High School on Thursday when the School Resource Officer noticed a vehicle in the school parking lot that matched the description of the one police had seen in security camera footage of a robbery on February 10.
The H&H Vape Shop had reportedly been robbed that night, with over $800 in cash and merchandise missing.
The officers identified the car’s owner and the vehicle was searched while on school grounds. Numerous vape-related items matching some of those listed as stolen from the vape store were allegedly found inside the car, along with an airsoft pistol.
NVPD says the vape items and airsoft pistol were seized. A 17-year-old male suspect was arrested and preliminarily charged with burglary and possession of stolen property.
