COLUMBUS, Ind. – For its annual campaign this year, Mill Race Center (MRC) is focusing on two key areas needing support. Meals on Wheels and reopening Mill Race Center are the two items being highlighted during the appeal.
As COVID-19 spread to Columbus, the demand for Meals on Wheels grew exponentially. The campaign makes sure that those in need receive food. So far, donations have provided a month of meals to 35 struggling families.
“During the pandemic, this is the only way some people feel comfortable getting food,” says Kelly Staley, Meals on Wheels Coordinator at Mill Race Center.
In honor of the Meals on Wheels program, Mill Race Center has received a generous gift to match all donations up to $5,000. During the month of December, donations are being collected to attain this matching gift. You may contribute by visiting millracecenter.org.
