SEYMOUR, Ind. — A Seymour man is in custody after he fired a gun, police said. Nobody was injured.
Police responded to the area of Katherine Court in Seymour early Sunday morning to multiple reports of shots fired. Officers found the shell casings.
Investigators say witnesses and surveillance video allowed them to identify the suspect as Rafael Tureand, 25.
A deputy located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby apartment complex. Tureand was taken into custody a short time later.
Police say they also located the firearm that was used during the incident.
Tureand faces preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm and carrying a handgun without a permit.
