COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Bartholomew County man has died following a chain-reaction accident, just after 7:30 Saturday night, on Jonathon Moore Pike in front of the Circle K convenient store. The Bartholomew County Coroner says Patrick Bowman, 35, of Columbus, was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma to the chest.
The crash, which law enforcement says involved a tow truck and several other vehicles, is still being investigated by the Columbus Police Department. The accident tied-up traffic on eastbound Jonathan Moore Pike for over three hours.
