INDIANAPOLIS – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis has issued a Flood Watch for several counties in south-central Indiana, including Bartholomew, Jackson, Jennings, Decatur, and Brown. The Flood Watch is in effect late Monday night through late Tuesday night.
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. NWS says area waterways are running high from last week’s precipitation and could flood with more heavy rain.
Rain amounts of one to two inches are possible Tuesday. Residents are advised to monitor local weather reports and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
