Columbus begins Christmas tree pickup

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Department of Public Works are now collecting residential Christmas trees. Christmas tree collection will be conducted the day of regular refuse pickup. All Christmas trees must not be in bags and must be free of all decorations, nails, garland, tinsel, stands and hooks. The Department of Public Works will be closed Friday, January 1 in observance of the New Years Day. Friday rash and recycling routes will be conducted Saturday.
