SEYMOUR, Ind. – Seymour native and Director of the Jackson County Chamber, Dan Robison, announced late last week his candidacy for the office of Mayor, City of Seymour, in the May 2023 Republican Primary. He said, “Seymour is a growing city and there are a lot of positive things going on here, but we need a strong, strategic leader in City Hall who can build partnerships and help us plot a clear path forward.”
Robison previously spent 18 years in Florida as a Walmart Store Manager in the Tampa Bay Market and was actively involved in the leadership of his local Chamber of Commerce in Dunedin. He believes that these experiences have prepared him to be an effective Mayor for Seymour. “I believe that my experience of managing a multi-million dollar retail operation and hundreds of employees will translate nicely into municipal leadership.”
The candidate also cites his experience with the Chambers of Commerce as a tool in his mayoral toolbox. “My experience with Chambers, as a Board member, Chairman of the Board, and now Director, has taught me over and over the power of partnerships in a community.”
