COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ethnic Expo is officially back this year in downtown Columbus for the first time since 2019. Its traditional format will be in place. The African American Community, which was to be featured in 2020, has again agreed to be the city’s Host Partner of Ethnic Expo.
Presented by title sponsor First Financial Bank, the two-day festival, which fosters understanding and an appreciation of Columbus’ diverse population, is set for October 7 and 8, along First Street behind Columbus City Hall. Over 30,000 residents and visitors are expected.
The 39th Ethnic Expo features authentic food, music on three separate stages, plus cultural programming in the Host Partner area that represents the traditions of the African American culture.
There will not be a Saturday Ethnic Expo parade this year. Organizers say that day’s festivities begin with lunch and entertainment at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
