INDIANAPOLIS – Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM) has given an update on the result of the recent winter storm and what to expect with a new weather system moving into the area on Monday.
Bartholomew County travel status has been downgraded to an Advisory Level, per BCEM. Roads have a few slick spots and a few county roads remain closed due to being drifted shut. The Bartholomew County Highway Garage plans to work on those through Monday.
What Officials Know:
- Winter Storm Warning expired at 7 a.m. on Saturday
- The wind Chill Advisory expired at 1 p.m. on Saturday
- A new system is expected in south-central Indiana on Monday
- Bartholomew County has a 59% chance of one inch of snow or more on Monday
What You Can Do Now:
- Monitor the forecast closely
- Prepare for potential travel impacts and power outages
- Use caution when traveling as some slick spots remain
- Have an emergency vehicle kit in your car with blankets, water, snacks, flashlight, jumper cables, a small shovel, sand, and first aid kit
