COLUMBUS, Ind. - Duke Energy recently provided the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office with a grant that allows every deputy to be equipped with a breaching tool in their patrol vehicle.

Breaching tools are essential pieces of equipment for law enforcement, permitting officers to quickly gain entry during emergencies and provide lifesaving assistance during critical incidents.

The tools enhance the safety of both deputies and the community.

A BCSO spokesperson said, "We are grateful for Duke Energy’s commitment to supporting public safety."
