COLUMBUS, Ind. - Columbus City Utilities on Friday issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Spruce Ridge Apartments. River Stone Apartments, Lookout Condominiums, Traditions of Columbus, Tipton Lakes Athletic Club, Country Inn and Suites, Centra Credit Union Headquarters, and residents along northern Goeller Boulevard and Terrace Lake Road north of Reece Lane.

In consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, it was determined that water customers should boil their drinking water. This precautionary measure is necessary due to a shutdown associated with a water main repair in the area.

Affected customers are asked to boil cooking and drinking water for 3-5 minutes until notified that the water has passed laboratory testing.

Columbus City Utilities said, "When the order is lifted, customers will be notified. We appreciate your cooperation during this time and will update you as necessary until the drinking water issue has been resolved."

A complete list of affected properties is available at www.columbusutilities.org.

Call Columbus City Utilities at 812-372-8861 with questions about the precautionary Boil Water Advisory.
