COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of W. Shady Lane on Wednesday, September 9, at around 10 p.m.
As a result of the investigation, Caleb Stillabower, 23, of Columbus, was taken into custody on allegations of intimidation with a deadly weapon and interfering with a 911 call.
During the investigation, deputies determined that Stillabower allegedly threatened an autistic juvenile with a knife. Following the alleged threat, Stillabower is accused of physically preventing an adult female from contacting 911 by striking the phone from her hand.
Stillabower remains in custody pending the filing of official charges.
BCSO says this is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
