COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Mill Race Monster Festival is coming to Mill Race Park in October, and the Columbus Area Arts Council (CAAC) needs your help. You can get involved in two ways, and both are open now.
CAAC invites local actors to help build the lore and excitement around the Mill Race Monster Festival. You will collaborate with other performers to plan and lead immersive experiences. Some actors even become the Monster in a costume made by local costume designer Susannah Lipinski.
Here's how actors can be involved:
- Share stories from original monster hunters based on a script.
- Guide or enrich evening spooky tours
- Be the Mill Race Monster

The Festival also needs volunteers to welcome guests, support artists and activities, assist with event operations, and help create a memorable experience for the community. Helpers get free tickets and a festival t-shirt. Prospective volunteers can apply here.
