NVPD arrests 15 during 'Operation Ice Pick'

NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) recently announced the conclusion of “Operation ICE Pick,” a proactive narcotics enforcement initiative that began during the last week of December 2025 and continued through early March 2026. 

Operation ICE Pick focused on identifying and disrupting individuals involved in the distribution of methamphetamine, fentanyl, THC products, and other controlled substances impacting North Vernon and surrounding communities.

The task force targeted dealers, manufacturers, nuisance properties, and individuals contributing to the regional drug pipeline. Ultimately, the operation apprehended 15 individuals, including one juvenile.

An NVPD spokesperson said,  “Operation ICE Pick is a direct reflection of the work ethic and professionalism of our officers. Throughout this operation, our team sharpened their investigative skills and refined methods that allow us to safely and effectively take these offenders into custody. We are dismantling distribution networks in and across county lines, and we will continue to pursue those who bring dangerous drugs into our communities.”     

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Those arrested were:   

  • Cory August Beecher (Columbus) -  Possession of Methamphetamine,  Attempted Dealing of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • James Lee Haller (North Vernon) - Possession of Meth and  Attempted Dealing Meth
  • Jon Marie Little (North Vernon) -  Dealing Fentanyl, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Meth, Possession of Legend Drug, and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe
  • John Baron Snyder (Columbus) - Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Tristan Lemarr *Seymour) - Manufacturing Meth, Dealing Meth, Possession of Meth, Possession of Legend Drug, and Possession of Marijuana
  • Francis S. Dorn (North Vernon 0 - Possession of Meth and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Derek R. Sarver (Edinburgh) - Assisting/Promoting Prostitution, Counterfeiting/Forgery, Attempt to Distribute Meth, and Possession of Marijuana (Class C Misdemeanor)
  • Deborah K. Reynolds (North Vernon) - Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Meth, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Reggie D. Washam (North Vernon) - Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Meth, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Rosie M. Jones (North Vernon) - Visiting a Common Nuisance
  • Jason A. Perry (North Vernon) - Possession of Meth
  • Sai Swaroop Ratakonda (Columbus) - Unlawful Solicitation
  • Mitchell Lee Waltman (Nashville) - Possession of Meth and Resisting Law Enforcement
  • Juvenile – Name Withheld (North Vernon) - Dealing Marijuana/THC (School-Related Offense)
