Some area schools on 2-hour delay Monday morning; Jennings County schools closed

SOUTH-CENRAL, Ind. - Due to the weather conditions, several south-central Indiana schools were operating on a two-hour delay Monday morning.

One system, Jennings County Schools, is closed and students have a virtual learning day.

A two-hour delay is in effect for the following school systems:

  • Bartholomew Consolidated
  • Franklin Community
  • Flat Rock-Hawcreek
  • Edinburgh Community
  • Clark-Pleasant Community
  • Center Grove Community
  • Greenwood Community
  • Brown County
  • Decatur County Community
  • Greensburg Community
  • Nineveh Hensley Jackson United
  • Shelbyville Central
  • South Western Consolidated Shelby County

    COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) Board of School Trustees voted unanimously on Monday night to place an operating referendum renewal on the November 3 general election ballot, asking voters to continue funding competitive teacher and staff compensation and school safety personnel for eight more years through 2034.
