Sumner named new Foundation For Youth FY CEO

COLUMBUS, Ind. - Foundation For Youth (FFY) has announced John Sumner as its new Chief Executive Officer. With over 20 years of nonprofit experience, he brings a strong background in youth development, strategic growth, fundraising, community partnerships, and organizational leadership.

His career includes executive leadership with Scouting America, where he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Cornhusker Council and led efforts focused on organizational growth, fundraising, strategic planning, and long-term sustainability.

“In John Sumner, we found a leader whose deep passion for youth development perfectly aligns with our core mission: to inspire and enable our youth, our community. He brings vision, heart, and executive strength to take our organization and its impact to even greater heights,” said Rebecca Kirsch, Board President

Sumner added, “I am honored to serve as the CEO for FFY. I have dedicated my life to serving youth, and this opportunity is the culmination of that work. Foundation For Youth is a special organization, and I am committed to leading it to new heights.”
