SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation (JCIDC) has appointed Trevor Lane as its new executive director. A Jennings County native, Lane brings over 26 years of industrial and economic development experience to the role and will officially begin his duties early next month.
He succeeds Jim Plump, who is retiring at the end of September following a distinguished 42-year tenure at JCIDC's helm.
Lane’s background includes 21 years with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), where he served as Southern Region Attractions Director. During his state-level service, he facilitated over 430 business attraction and expansion deals, securing $8.2 billion in investment and creating over 36,000 jobs.
His work specifically in Jackson County has already yielded significant results, including over $635 million in investments and 1,700 new jobs with major local employers.
Lane also brings extensive experience building international business relationships across the U.S., Germany, and Japan.
