NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a local man following a late-night burglary at the Dollar General Store, 624 E. Buckeye St., on Saturday, December 20.
NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a local man following a late-night burglary at the Dollar General Store, 624 E. Buckeye St., on Saturday, December 20.
Officer Conner Emily of the North Vernon Police Department, assisted by Officer Clayton Cain, Sergeant Adam Driver, and Detective Jared Corya, arrested Anthony Brock following a late-night investigation into a burglary at the Dollar General.
NVPD responded to a business alarm and found signs of forced entry, including an open rear door, damaged property, and displaced merchandise inside the store.
Surveillance footage showed a male subject inside the business after hours, exiting through the rear door. Officers searched the surrounding area and located the suspect hiding on the roof of a nearby business, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Evidence indicated entry into the store occurred through the building’s HVAC system.
Brock was transported to the Jennings County Jail without incident.

- Breaking and entering
- Criminal mischief
- Criminal trespass
- Public intoxication
