NORTH VERNON, Ind. - North Vernon's "Sweet Street Trick or Treat" is this Saturday, October 31, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., on and around Madison Avenue, Brick Street, and surrounding side streets.
Official Halloween trick-or-treating hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sweet Street is not meant to replace traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating; it simply provides families with another safe option to celebrate together.
Having activities in one central location can also make the evening more convenient for families with young children, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who prefers a more accessible option.
To prepare for vendors and visitors, Madison Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from the railroad tracks to Bramwell's, beginning at 2 p.m.
