BARGERSVILLE, Ind. - The Bargersville Fire Department (BFD) responded to two separate water rescues early Sunday morning. The first was at 5:30 a.m. Both involved vehicles being stranded in high water.

With the recent heavy rain that has moved through the area, drivers should slow down, stay alert, and use caution around flooded roadways

Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. BFD reminds motorists that water can be deeper than it appears, and conditions can change quickly.

If you encounter water covering the road, turn around and find another route.
