FRANKLIN, Ind.- Franklin Community Schools (FCS) will celebrate the opening of Franklin Cub Academy with a ribbon-cutting and community open house on Saturday, August 29. All community members are invited to attend.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the building’s main entrance facing Sloan Drive, followed by a community open house from 10:15–11:30 a.m. Guests can tour the new facility, see learning spaces firsthand, and celebrate this investment in the community’s youngest learners.

Franklin Cub Academy began welcoming students on August 5, providing a dedicated environment designed to support early learning, exploration, development, and growth.

The Academy brings together two preschool opportunities under one roof. Families can choose to enroll their children in the tuition-based community preschool. At the same time, children who receive preschool services through Franklin Community Schools’ public education programs also learn in the new center.

This unique partnership reflects a shared commitment to early learning, providing young children with essential skills and experiences that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

Franklin Cub Academy builds on a history of preschool programming within FCS. As the program has grown, preschool classes have been offered in multiple locations throughout the district.
