SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Schneck Foundation is again offering its "Safe Sitter" initiative this year at no cost to participants. It provides young adults with an up-to-date, medically based youth development program, taught by trained team members from Schneck Medical Center.
For boys and girls entering grades 6 through 8, this one-day class teaches babysitters the life and safety skills they need and equips them with the tools to handle emergencies when caring for younger children.
Safe Sitter is being offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations on the following dates:
- Seymour, Schneck Medical Center on June 5, 6, 20, and July 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 24
- Scottsburg, Scott County YMCA on June 27 and July 24
- North Vernon, Jennings County Public Library on June 19
- Salem, Washington County Community Learning Center on June 26
Registration is available online at SchneckMed.org. Register early, as each class is limited to 12 students. For more information, call 812-524-4244.
