COLUMBUS, Ind. - Visit Columbus has $14,000 remaining in grant funds available through its Tourism Development and Event Support programs.
Tax-exempt organizations in Bartholomew County are encouraged to apply for projects and events that attract visitors, strengthen the local visitor economy, and enhance quality of life for residents.
Tourism Development Grants support the creation and enhancement of tourism attractions, programs, and community assets. The program encourages collaboration on projects that make Bartholomew County an appealing travel destination.
Eligible projects may include art, architecture, and design installations; improvements to sports tournament facilities; spaces for public gatherings; and new initiatives that attract or host visitors.
Tourism Development Grants require a one-to-one cash match and may cover up to 50% of the total project or program cost.
Event Support Grants support functions, tournaments, and celebrations that generate out-of-county visitor spending, encourage overnight stays, contribute to a vibrant quality of life, and advance the community brand.
Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until exhausted. Organizations should review each program’s eligibility requirements and application instructions before applying.
