SEYMOUR, Ind. - Schneck Medical Center has announced that Eric Fish, MD, President and CEO, has been elected to the American Hospital Association (AHA) Board of Trustees for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2027.

The AHA Board of Trustees serves as the organization's highest policymaking body, providing governance and strategic direction for one of the nation's most influential healthcare organizations. Fish is among seven healthcare leaders from across the country to serve on the board.

He joined Schneck as President/CEO in September 2020. Under his leadership, Schneck has continued to expand access to high-quality healthcare services across southern Indiana. Dr. Fish said, "Hospitals and health systems across the country are navigating significant opportunities and challenges as we work to meet the evolving needs of our communities. I look forward to contributing to the important work of the AHA and representing the interests of patients, providers, and rural healthcare organizations."

Beyond healthcare leadership, the Schneck CEO is actively engaged in Jackson County, serving on several boards.

The American Hospital Association represents nearly 5,000 hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare organizations, as well as more than 270,000 affiliated physicians, 2 million nurses and caregivers, and 43,000 healthcare leaders nationwide.
