BARGERSVILLE, Ind. -  On Monday morning, members of the Bargersville Fire Department had the opportunity to reunite with 11-year-old Jordyn and his family following a serious dirt bike accident that occurred on February 28.

When crews arrived that day, Jordyn was found in critical condition and transported to Johnson Memorial Health, where he was successfully resuscitated in the emergency room before being transferred by IU Health LifeLine to Riley Children’s Hospital for further care.

Medic 261 on the incident was staffed by Paramedics Stephen Krajcir and Mikinna Mascoe.

Today, Jordyn is doing great and continuing to make an incredible recovery.

The Bargersville Fire Department said, "Reunions like this are rare and serve as a reminder of why we do this job. For many responders, we often never learn the outcome after a patient leaves our care. Being able to see Jordyn smiling, recovering, and reconnecting with the people involved in his care is something difficult to put into words. Thank you to Jordyn and his family for allowing us to be part of today and for allowing us to share a small part of his story."
