COLUMBUS, Ind. -Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office deputies located a male subject and a motorcycle underneath a shelter house at Owens Bend Park in Bartholomew County on Wednesday, November 4 .
Deputies identified the subject as Lakota Slaughter, 38, of Flat Rock. While out with Slaughter, deputies determined that his driver's license was suspended. Based on the alert, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the bags. During the search, deputies located with approximately 57 grams of suspected methamphetamine, numerous syringes, and additional items of drug paraphernalia.
Slaughter was subsequently placed under arrest then transported to the Bartholomew County Jail, where he was remanded to jail staff.
Slaughter was charged with the following offenses:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Syringes
