COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Department of Public Works (DPW) officially opened its new workplace on Arcadia Drive with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.
Rain didn’t dampen the mood as around 230 community members and city employees joined DPW Director Bryan Burton, Mayor Mary Ferdon, city council members, representatives from Columbus Redevelopment, and representatives from Force Construction at the event to unveil DPW’s new home.
After the ceremony, DPW crew members led tours of the new facility. The tour routes were color-coded to match the new ColumBUS Loops.
Mayor Mary Ferdon thanked all the partners involved in the completion of this project, including Force Construction, Force Design, Columbus Redevelopment, JS Held, RE Diamond, Arsee, and the various subcontractors that supported the work on the new facility.
