COLUMBUS, Ind. - As part of the 250th celebration of America's birthday, the City of Columbus held a hot dog eating contest downtown on July 4 during "Celebrate 250 Day."
Contestants had 10 minutes to gobble down as many of the Nathan's jumbo dogs as possible without throwing up.
Kenny Sprague of Columbus was crowned the winner after ingesting about two-and-a-half pounds of hot dogs during the competition.
The top 3 finishers were:
1st Place - Kenny Sprague, 12 hot dogs
2nd Place - Mason Jones, 6 hot dogs
3rd Place - Gavin Foley, 5 hot dogs
