SEYMOUR, Ind. – Schneck Medical Center has achieved recertification from the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) as an Obstetric Level of Care II and Neonatal Level of Care II facility, reinforcing its commitment to providing specialized care for mothers and newborns in southern Indiana.
The designation follows a comprehensive onsite review, during which Schneck was found to meet all requirements for both obstetric and neonatal services at the Level II designation.
This certification recognizes Schneck’s ability to provide care for moderate-risk pregnancies and newborns who may require additional monitoring or specialized treatment.
IDOH also commended the importance of ongoing, multidisciplinary education in strengthening patient safety and outcomes. Schneck Medical Center continues to invest in education and training to support its physicians, nurses, and care teams in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Perinatal Levels of Care certification ensures hospitals are equipped and staffed to provide care appropriate to patient needs, which plays a critical role in improving outcomes for mothers and infants.
