UNIONTOWN, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is scheduled to begin a pipe and culvert rehabilitation project along southbound I-65 in Jackson County on or after Monday, March 30.

The project will take place along I-65 just north of State Road 250 (Exit 41) near Uniontown. Drivers can expect the following restrictions on southbound I-65 between County Road East 50 North and S.R. 250 (Exit 41):

  • (Beginning on/after Monday, 3/30) - Southbound I-65 will be reduced to one lane each night from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for up to four nights, weather permitting
  • (Beginning on/after Monday, 4/6 at 6 p.m.) - The right lane of southbound I-65 will be closed for up to five days, weather permitting. The left lane will remain open

This work is part of a $2.3 million INDOT contract awarded to Hall Contracting, Inc., in January 2025. Motorists should slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All schedules are subject to change.
