JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 7/State Road 3 on or after Tuesday, December 23, between Vernon and North Vernon.
JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 7/State Road 3 on or after Tuesday, December 23, between Vernon and North Vernon.
The speed limit will be reduced from 40 mph to 30 mph on S.R. 7/S.R. 3 between just north of Smith Street and just north of Ripley Street.
This change is intended to create consistency and improve safety between the two communities, as the posted speed limits on S.R. 7/S.R. 3 in both Vernon and North Vernon are currently 30 mph.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
