FRANKLIN, Ind. - Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) opened its new behavioral health care center on the west side of the main hospital campus in Franklin on Thursday, January 15.
This state-of-the-art 29-bed inpatient facility provides vital mental health services to adults 18 and older, addressing a critical and growing need in the community. It is only the second nonprofit inpatient behavioral health facility in the entire county.
The Behavioral Health Center is the result of a unique partnership among JMH, Horizon Health, the Johnson County Commissioners, and law enforcement officials.
The project began in 2022, with construction starting in 2023.
Funding, in part, for the new facility was made possible by the Johnson County ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) committee.
