'Pets on the Trail' Walkathon is set for April 26

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Franklin Parks and Recreation presents "Pets on the Trail," an inclusive walkathon on Sunday, April 26, at 1 p.m. All people and pets of any size are welcome.   

The walk serves as a fundraiser for the Franklin Mayor's Youth Leadership Council (FMYLC), which will use the funds to install pet-friendly water fountains around the park trails. 

 "Pets on the Trail" will start at the DriveHubler.com Amphitheater and continues on a one-mile route along the trails.     

At the walkathon, you can purchase homemade pet treats and water from FMYLC members and interact with the organizations and businesses that support the pets of Franklin.   

Everyone who registers is entered into the free giveaway for an annual dog park pass and other City of Franklin memorabilia.
