COLUMBUS, Ind. – Sandra (Sandy) Beatty, chief deputy in the Bartholomew County Treasurer’s Office, is seeking the office of County Treasurer in 2026.
She said in her media release declaring her candidacy that she is running because of her beliefs in protecting taxpayer dollars, strengthening transparency, and ensuring every resident receives dependable service.
Beatty has over 27 years of combined county experience, including nearly three decades in financial and administrative roles. She says that she understands the seriousness and responsibility of managing public funds, and that her career has been dedicated to accuracy, integrity, and fairness.
The candidate stated, “I care deeply about this community, and I am committed to keeping the Treasurer’s Office efficient, accessible, and trustworthy. It would be an honor to earn your support and serve as your next County Treasurer.”
Sandy Beatty has been employed in the Bartholomew County Treasurer’s Office for the past 7½ years, gaining experience in financial operations, public service, and the daily responsibilities required to manage county funds with accuracy and accountability.
Before the Treasurer’s Office, she worked in the Bartholomew County Auditor’s Office for 18 years.
