GREENSBURG, Ind. - On Monday, April 27, at 4 a.m., the Greensburg Police Department responded to 1008 East North St. in Greensburg after the report of a male who had a gunshot wound.
Investigative information and evidence provided that Gregory D. Trimble, 22, of Greencastle, had come to the victim’s house, where a physical altercation ensued, and the victim was shot.
The Greensburg Police Criminal Investigations Unit pursued all available evidence and leads in this investigation and determined that the suspect had fled the state.
With the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, Trimble was located in Kentucky and placed in custody on Thursday, April 30. Preliminary charges are forthcoming.
Under Indiana Law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
