EDINBURGH, Ind. - Ivy Tech Community College Columbus science faculty offers another free environmental nature hike this Saturday, February 7, at 10 a.m., at the Driftwood State Fishing Area, 8825 S.
U.S Hwy 31, in Edinburgh.
Dr. Tom Sobat will lead the hike, exploring winter wonders on the network of trails along the Driftwood River.
The hike is open to the public, including all Bartholomew and Johnson County community members. Hikers should meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the first paved parking area at the fishing area.
Participants are reminded to dress appropriately for winter hiking, including wearing several layers of clothing. The college will have some binoculars available for public use, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
