COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man is hospitalized after a crash on Indianapolis Road in Columbus on Wednesday, May 13th.
At approximately 11:23 a.m., officers and other first responders were called to the 1600 block of Indianapolis Road for a personal injury accident.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles on their sides, a 1983 Kenworth truck and a 2003 Lexus SUV. The 19-year-old driver of the Lexus was flown from the scene to an Indianapolis hospital with reports of a possible head injury. The driver 44-year-old of the Kenworth sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene. The details surrounding the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation. Indianapolis Road is expected to be closed for several hours while the investigation continues.
