COLUMBUS, Ind. - Love Chapel is set to host its inaugural Community Fair, an event designed to foster local connection and support within Columbus.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 23, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Donner Park Pavilion, this free, family-friendly gathering invites neighbors to enjoy an afternoon of fellowship.
"We're excited to create an event where families can enjoy an afternoon together while learning about the many organizations, churches, nonprofits, and local businesses that help make our community stronger," said Allison Kunkler, Development Director at Love Chapel.
The fair will feature a variety of activities. Guests can enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs, along with entertainment like bounce houses. Local vendors and community organizations, ranging from the Bartholomew County Health Department to the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum, will showcase their services. There is also an optional community worship service from 4 to 5 p.m.
Beyond the entertainment, the fair serves a charitable purpose. Addressing food insecurity in the region, Love Chapel will collect canned food donations throughout the afternoon to help stock its food pantry.
