NORTH VERNON, Ind.- The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) took a local man into custody last Friday in connection with an assault that occurred near Ivy Park Apartments on January 31.
NVPD was dispatched to Ivy Park Apartments regarding a battery complaint at around 2:30 p.m.
Officers made contact with a male victim who had visible facial injuries, including a bloodied nose and a busted lip. He alleged that Tyler Kissick opened his vehicle door and struck him multiple times with both fists.
The case was submitted to the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office for review for Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury (Level 6 Felony).
On February 6, officers arrested Kissick without incident. He was taken to the Jennings County Jail pending further proceedings.
