Courtesy-FCACS

COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (FCACS) is encouraging potential participants to sign up for this year’s "Moonlight Loop" evening bike before the price increase on July 1.

Bikers only have a few more days to register at the introductory price of $35 per rider. The fee increases to $40 starting July 1 and will be $45 for those who register the day of the event.

The 2026 Moonlight Loop is set for the evening of Saturday, August 22, beginning at 9 p.m. It starts and finishes at the Bartholomew County Library Plaza.

All proceeds from the Moonlight Loop go to support the FCACS Adoption/Medical Fund. This fund pays for needed veterinary care and medications, spay/neuter services, and pet food for animals awaiting adoption (those housed at the Columbus Animal Care Service facility and in foster care). The city budget does not cover these expenses.

For more information and to register for the ride, go to raceroster.com and search for the Moonlight Loop.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the event. They will receive a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt as a token of appreciation for their help.

Go to the Columbus Animal Care Services website to find out more.
